Pray Force One to Barnstorm Across Missouri
During "Spiritual State of the Union Tour"

Prayer Force One is pleased to announce its first "Spiritual State of the Union Tour". In cooperation with the Missouri National Day of Prayer Committee, Bott Radio Network, and Jefferson City's United As One, Prayer Force One will barnstorm across seven Missouri cities in four days. This tour will culminate at the foot of the Missouri Capitol steps as Prayer Force One participates in United As One's, Capitol Christian Concert. Here we will be expecting upwards of 10,000 people. The flyer below will give more details. To see the full size flyer, just click on the flyer image below. When you do, be sure and scroll down to see page two, which contains our schredule and information about the concert.

Please take note of the participating prayer leaders who are sponsoring and/or joining us for portions of the tour. Tom Otley, the Missouri National Day of Prayer Coordinator, had this to say of the upcoming tour.

"Having Prayer Force One come to Missouri, is a great blessing for our state. With the challenges we face as a nation and as a state, prayer is needed more today than ever before. We are delighted that Prayer Force One will traverse our state twice, first east across I-44, then west across I-70, and then over to Jefferson City. Heaven rejoices when brothers and sisters come together in unity and seek His face. We are praying for a good turnout in each location."

A huge thanks to Sue Stoltz, who serves both as a six-state coordinator of the NDP Task Force and as Mid-Missouri Manager of Bott Radio Network, for her tireless work in bringing this all together. We do invite our friends throughout Missouri, east Kansas and the St. Louis area to come out and pray with us as we tour through the state. The flyer below gives time, places and dates of the tour stops, as well as information about the Capitol Christian Concert. (Again, click on the flyer image below to see the full size flyer.) Please keep us in your prayers as we traverse Missouri!

Missouri State Baptist Newspaper Carries Two PF-1 Stories.
Missouri Family Policy Council To Carry Story of Tour.

We are grateful to Baptist Pathway editor, Don Hinkle, for his support and encouragement for the Missouri Prayer Force One, "Spiritual State of the Union Tour". Pathway staff writer, Brian Koonce, wrote a good story about the tour, which was carried in the last weeks issue of Pathway. We were also surprised and pleased to find that Pathway carried our first ever, Ed Moore Report which was entitled "A Rendezvous With Which Destiny?". I'll say more about this below. To view the main story just click on the Pathway graphic below.

We are also pleased to learn that Joe Ortworth, Director of Missouri's Family Policy Council, will soon carry a story about the upcoming Spiritual State of the Union Tour. Thanks Missouri FPC!

Prayer Force One To Appear At Missouri State Baptist Building.

In addition to the many other stops, we are pleased to announce that Prayer Force One will make an appearance at the front entrance of the Missouri Baptist Building in Jefferson City on Wednesday, August 26, soon after its slated capitol appearance. The bus should arrive at the Baptist Building by mid-morning and will stay through early afternoon. We quote the Pathway article right after the picture below:

"The Missouri Baptist Convention (MBC) is pleased to announce that Prayer Force One will be at the Baptist Building August 26, said Vince Bluebaugh, MBC director of communications/development. We would encourage all Missouri Baptists to come to the Baptist Building and see this impressive mobile chapel and to pray for our elected officials."

The Ed Moore Report Makes Its Debut

For some time now, it has been in my heart to pursue an ecclesiastical news commentary with a "God & Country" theme. Finally, after much prayer and encouragement from many of our readers, "The Ed Moore Report", with its subtitle, "Views On News From A Christian Perspective", made its official, double-pronged debut with articles on Ronald Reagan and Sarah Palin. Both columns where enthusiastically received and we were very encouraged by the response. While the flavor of the column is Biblically conservative, we will not be making endorsements of any party or political candidate.

The first column was entitled: "A Rendezvous With Which Destiny?" and deals with the choice that lies before us as a nation. The second column was entitled: "A Man Is Known By His Enemies... And So Is A Woman!".This column explores the motivation behind the hostile spirit of the liberal media to Sarah Palin. To read either of our these columns, just click on their respective image above and below.

Tune In For Upcoming Radio Interviews

Sandy and I have been busy doing radio interviews with more to follow. You can hear our recent interview with Cherri Willis of the Oasis Christian Network in Moore/OKCs, KMSI-FM-88.1 at noon on August 11, and again at noon on August 25 on sister stations KOZO-FM-89.7 in Branson and FM-93.7 in Springfield, Missouri.

Sometime next week we are to be interviewed by Harold Hendrick on St. Louis station KSIV-AM-1320, and then by Dick Bott himself, on a network-wide Bott Radio interview to be recorded during the Missouri "Spiritual State of the Union Tour". I'm told that other Bott station managers will also conduct interviews for their own stations as we make various tour stops. Please tune in where possible and do keep these important interviews in your prayers as they are recorded and then go out across the airwaves.

A Special, Personal Invitation To You?

Now, I want to extend a personal invitation to you to meet us at The National Day of Prayer -Prayer Summit at the famed Focus On The Family headquarters in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. The dates are Friday through Sunday, October 16-18. What could be better than to enjoy a gorgeous autumn weekend in the Rocky Mountains with Christian prayer warriors from around the nation? What better vacation than to welcome the cool October mornings in the midst of turning leaves and mountain vistas? Why not join us in forming a Prayer Force One delegation to the National Prayer Summit?

In addition to the wonderful spiritual program planned by the NDP Task Force, Our Prayer Force One delegation will caucus every morning for prayer about the days events. Think of what a wonderful time we could have of getting to know each other better as we pray and make plans to grow America's prayer movement... America's only hope.

Best of all, this would be a very affordable spiritual adventure. The cost of the Summit is only $85. Now, if I'm sounding like a travel agent, I'm not. Prayer Force One won't receive a dime if your come. I'm excited because I'd love for you to experience the National Prayer Summit like we have. To find out more, or to register for the Prayer Summit, click on the photo of Sandy and I at the Focus on the Family Headquarters below. We will be there to greet you!

If you're interested in coming, the National Day of Prayer Task Force has negotiated some special rates at area hotels. The Prayer Force One delegation is encouraged to stay at the Drury Inn-Pikes Peak, which is a 3.5 miles from Focus Headquarters. The special base rate is only $58.00 a night and this includes a hot breakfast. To book a reservation at this or any hotel, just click on the photo of the Drury Inn below. Book your reservation early to avoid disappointment. For those using the Drury Hotel, tell them that you're part of group #2039468, in order to get the special rate. Drury's toll free number is 1-800-325-0720.

While registering, don't forget to e-mail us to let us know you are coming. In this way, we can know how to contact you while you're at the Summit. You can e-mail Sandy and I at: Ed@PrayerForceOne.com. Remember also that Prayer Force One will be at the Summit as a prayer chapel for each day. Do come aboard and send up a prayer for America during the Summit.

Help Keep Prayer Force One Rolling!!!

As you can imagine, it takes a great deal of funding to keep Prayer Force One rolling. In order to pay the bills and meet our obligations, we depend upon the Lord using people just like you. The needs are very great this month. The advertising alone for our upcoming Spiritual State of the Union Tour is $4,120.00, and this does not include diesel or food. This is why I am asking all who can to send in a special donation this month. Can we count on you? To make a special donation, please click on the donate button below. May God bless you for your help.

A Final Note

As I write this, I've been sequestered at Shawnee Twin Lakes, not far from where we live. I came here to write, to pray, and to worship. Last night Sandy and I canoed across the lake in the moonlight. We watched the sunrise as we canoed again. Now, even as I'm writing this letter aboard Prayer Force One, I looked up and saw a mother deer and her two young fawns. Praise fills my heart. God is so very, very good! May we as Christians care for our families and our nation as carefully as that mother deer cares for her babies. Oh God, please bless America again!
