Dear Prayer Partners,
I have four exciting Prayer Force One operations to tell you about and then two items that I would like to send to you. Please read this e-mail all the way through as its message is very important.
I. Operation Christmas Prayer
The first Prayer Force One operation that I want to tell you about is Operation Christmas Prayer. The idea here is to encourage continued daily prayer for America in The White House during the holiday season. Our special prayer emphasis during this time will be for President Bush's last days in office and for the presidential transition that is now underway.
As we pray in The White House this Christmas, you'll enjoy seeing each of the rooms in their festive Christmas attire. This will be a wonderful way to join together in prayer as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. In these troubling times, we need to pray more now than ever. II. Operation Inaugural Prayer
The second PF-1 operation is called Operation Inaugural Prayer. I'm sure you agree that Christians do not curse their leaders, they pray for them. This is what the Bible tells us to do. While many evangelicals, including me, are concerned about an Obama presidency and how it will impact our nation, we must remember several things.
1. The first is that God himself places people in positions of authority. This truth is well documented in scripture. In Daniel 4:17 the Bible says:
"The most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."
Why God places certain individuals in authority may sometimes baffle us. Sometimes He does so to bless the people and at other times, to chasten them. It may be that what appears to be one thing, is really quite another. Our job is not to question God's wisdom, but to pray for those that He has placed in authority, that God will be GORIFIED. We must remember that we are the Lord's servants, not His counselors. (Romans 11:34)
2. The second thing that we must realize is that no king is beyond God's sovereign control. In Proverb 21:1 we read:
"The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will."
From these two scriptures we understand that God appoints "whomsoever" He wants and turns their hearts "withersoever" He will. Our job is to pray in faith, believing that God hears us and that He has our nation's best interest at heart. This brings me to my third point.
3. The third thing that we need to remember is that God has commanded us to pray for those in authority. (See I Timothy 2:1-2)
For these reasons, Prayer Force One is initiating a major virtual prayer event in The White House on Inauguration Day, January 20. This event will be much like the one we organized on the Sunday before the last presidential election. You will be receiving additional information about this special inaugural prayer event in the days ahead. III. Operation: Community Prayer Summits
One of the major thrusts of Prayer Force One in the coming days will be to encourage and conduct Church-wide and community-wide PF-1 Prayer Summits, incorporating a combined use of the Prayer Force One bus, electronic presentations and live speaking to be enjoined with local and community entities.
This operational thrust will be based upon the proven model perfected by Billy Graham over the years. ( I.E. going where invited and where a specific plan is implemented.) This approach will allow us to have the greatest impact we can while using our time, energies and resources to their best advantage. These meetings will have a definite God & Country flavor with a genuine fidelity to the gospel mission of our Lord Jesus Christ.
IV. Operation: Full-Court Press!
The fourth Prayer Force One operation underway is Operation: Full-Court Press. I cannot begin to tell you how important this project is to the future of this ministry. No, the phrase does not refer to basketball or the U.S. legal system. The "full-court press" to which we refer is a "full-speed ahead" on a strategic printing campaign. In the next few weeks, Prayer Force One will be going to press with the premiere issue of our annual ministry magazine as well as the first of several full-color booklets that we believe will have an incredible impact for God and country. Allow me to tell you briefly about these.
The magazine, entitled (as you would expect) PRAYER FORCE ONE, will not only document Prayer Force One's journeys across America during her maiden year, but will contain articles and interviews that will encourage people everywhere about America's growing prayer movement. Among other things, the magazine will also include an explanation of how to invite the Prayer Force One team for a Church or community-wide Prayer Summit. This magazine will be an indispensable tool for advancing the ministry of Prayer Force One in the days ahead!
The name of the first full-color booklet will be: IKE'S FINEST HOUR, which tells the spiritual, heart-warming story of how President Dwight D. Eisenhower came to full assurance of faith in Christ after meeting with Billy Graham at Valley Forge. This booklet presents the gospel question on a presidential scale while appealing to readers of all ages. We sincerely believe that this one little booklet alone will be used to bring many souls to Christ.
The second booklet will be called HAIL TO HEAVEN'S CHIEF: A Presidential Tribute To God, the Bible and the Christian Faith. Few can speak as loudly and with more historical authority about the Christian undergirdings of our nation than the timeless voices of our presidents themselves. In this lavishly formatted booklet, you will find the perfect tool for rebuilding America's spiritual foundations.

Together, the magazine and booklets will become the first of many "paper soldiers" in the arsenal of our ministry. However, we are in need of financial help in funding them. The magazine will cost us $1914.00 while the first printing of the full-color booklets will be about $550.00 each.
