This is little Isabelle. Isabelle is our eleventh granddaughter. By all expert medical accounts, Isabelle should never have been born. But God...

This is Isabelle's mother, Randi and her husband, Jonathon. Randi is the third of our four daughters. Randi should not be alive today. But God...

This is America. Many say that our country has passed the point of no return...that America cannot be saved. But God...

What do Randi and Isabelle have to do with America being saved? Please allow me to tell you something that happened in our family. I hope that it will encourage your heart about America and America's God.
Three years ago, when Randi and Jon were training for the ministry as students at California Baptist University, Randi developed many large lumps up and down the back of her neck. After two different California doctors diagnosed Randi with lymphoma cancer, she and her husband returned to Oklahoma to face treatment with the support of family and friends. We began to ask everyone we knew to pray for Randi.

When Sandy and I first heard of our daughter's condition, we wept and then we prayed together. Ithen did something that I had never done, and have only done once since. I took my shoes and socks off and knelt at the altar of the church that I have now pastored for ten years. As I prayed, I reminded God that Sandy and I had given our daughter to Christ at the altar of the church when she wasjust a few weeksold. I told God thatwe would not go back on that commitment, and that if He wantedRandithat he could have her. That being settled, I then asked God to spare her life.

That night, I couldn't sleep. I must confess that my pillow was wet with silent tears. My mind wondered back to when Randi was a baby. I remembered how as a young evangelist, Sandy and I traveled across America, pulling an old travel trailer. With four children at the time, we didn't have enough beds to go around so we just put Randi in the cupboard over our bed. I remember how she used to hang her arm down and I would reach up and hold her hand until she went to sleep.

As these memories came flooding through my troubled heart and mind, I looked up in the darkness and asked God. "LORD do you remember how I used to hold little Randi's hand?" Then I continued, "LORD I sure would appreciate it if you would hold my hand right now. Would you reach down and touch my daughter with your healing hand?"
After I had prayed this prayer, I slipped out of bed, trying not to disturb my wife, and opened my Bible. As I knelt in the moonlight beside a bedroom chair, my eyes fell upon the following verse:
"I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles." (Isaiah 42:6)
Beloved, when I saw that verse in the midnight moonlight, I knew in my heart that God had heard my prayer and healedour daughter!
The next day, as the doctor took Randi back to perform additional tests, they both returned to the waiting room. The doctor simply said, "I can't perform any more tests because the lumps are gone!" Fifteen months later, Randi gave birth to little Isabelle. But God...!

Are we to believe that God can heal a young girl of cancer but that He is powerless to save a nation? I don't believe it for a minute, and I don'tthink you do either. God's word promises us that:
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14)
It is because we believe this verse that Prayer Force One has been hosting a daily virtual prayer meeting in the various rooms of The White House. I, like many of you, still believe that America can be saved. But, it is going to take a lot of praying to save her. I invite you to join with thousands of others to take part in our daily prayer meeting in The White House. To join us in prayer today, just click on the White House picture below.

I know that it sometimes seems like there is no hope for our nation. But God...!

P.S. A Final Note: Randi and Jon just told us last night that they are expecting their second child! This was on Sandy's birthday. But God...!!!
