Dear Friends of America & Prayer Force One
We apologize for not sending more letters, but we have been extremely busy and on the road promoting our 90 Day Countdown Campaign to the first in the nation Prayer Force One Sunday. At this writing, there are only 63 days left before our national virtual prayer meeting in The White House. (And in homes and churches, etc.) Allow me to tell you about our recent activities and then to tell you about a very sacred “mountain top experience".
Summit Level Meetings Held
We have been pursuing some very high profile, summit-level meetings with key Christian leaders across America. Let me tell you about three of our most recent, in the order they occurred.
PF-1 Meets With American Family Association Leaders.
On Thursday, August 14th, Sandy and I met privately with Dr. Donald E. Wildmon, the Founder and Chairman of the American Family Association, which includes the American Family Radio Network and the American Family Journal. Dr. Wildmon has waged an incredible battle with the forces of darkness, which are bent on the destruction of the American family and our Christian way of life.

During this meeting, we explained our mission and goal to inspire a virtual prayer meeting in The White House on the Sunday before the presidential election, etc. Dr. Wildmon then introduced us to AFA Journal Editor, Randall Murphree. (bottom left) Look for an upcoming article on PF-1 in the October issue of the AFA Journal and for an interview about Prayer Force One on the American Family Radio Network.

The next day, Sandy and I were privileged to have lunch with AFA President, Tim Wildmon. (top right) Tim invited us to join a future AFA Spiritual Heritage Tour to Washington DC as a speaker. Let us know if you would be interested in being part of such a tour in 2009. Dates are as yet uncertain. Tim and I also talked about some other areas of possible partnership between AFA and PF-1.
PF-1 Meets With National Day Of Prayer Task Force Leader

Our next summit level meeting was with Lisa Crump, the National Coordinator of The National Day of Prayer Task Force. Lisa is a powerhouse for Christ. She spent many years with Focus On The Family and now works alongside Shirley Dobson in matters pertaining to The National Day Of Prayer. During our lunch, Lisa asked Sandy and I to bring Prayer Force One to the NDPTF National Prayer Summit to be held at the national headquarters of Focus On The Family. We are honored to join other key prayer leaders for this intimate and important three-day event to be held on October 17-19. If you are interested in attending and would like to learn more, please e-mail us and we will see that you get the necessary information.
Nav-Press Magazine, PRAY! Features Article On Prayer Force One
While in Colorado Springs, Sandy, Tyler and I stopped by the National headquarters of The Navigators, to pick up copies of the latest issue of PRAY! The September-October issue featured a news story about the ministry of Prayer Force One on the same page as news of The National Prayer Summit, mentioned above. We appreciate Cynthia Bezek’s great work as editor of PRAY! This magazine is helping immensely to bring America’s prayer movement into cooperative unity. During our visit to NavPress, we met Bob Yates, of the Navigator staff. Bob arranged a special tour of the Glen Eyrie estate, the Navigator's conference center. (Which is next to the famed Garden of the Gods.) If there is lovelier place in America, I haven’t seen it! I would really like to have a future Prayer Force One event in this lovely setting. Sandy and I are pictured below outside the Glen Eyrie Castle.

Speaking Appearances Increase
In spite of a very heavy workload, Sandy and I have continued to make appearances in Prayer Force One at events that are close to our central Oklahoma base. I’ve included photos of events in Chickasha, Claremore and Duncan Oklahoma below.

A Mountain Top Testimony
During the last week of July, Sandy and I took some of the grandkids to our “Family Camp Week” high in the mountains of southwest Colorado. We do this each year to keep our extended families close as they grow and then spread across the country.

However, with our first ever “National Prayer Force One Sunday” less than one hundred days away, I must confess that I was starting to lose sleep. The truth of the matter is that the burden was simply becoming too great. I knew that God had called and blessed us every step of the way, but I just couldn’t see how we could bring it all together by November 2nd.
On one particularly cold morning during the week, (and it can get really cold up in those mountains even in August) Sandy and I woke up but stayed in our sleeping bag to keep warm. As usual, my mind was already racing to try and think of what I could do to get the Prayer Force One message out in such a short time.
While thinking along these lines, Sandy asked: “How does that verse end… “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our….” She couldn’t remember the word that finished the verse.
“Faith” I said as the Holy Spirit used Sandy’s question to strike a dart through my heart. Like her, I knew the verse well enough; but this time, the part that stuck out to me were the words, “Looking unto Jesus...”. I immediately climbed out of our sleeping bag and looked out over the mountain range that spread out before me.
“Jesus” I prayed quietly, as I surveyed the panorama below, “I’m looking to you to bring this great cause to success. Please help me Lord Jesus, because I just can’t do it without you.”
Beloved, in that moment, I felt the arrival of the Lord’s presence. It would not be out of place to say that I could almost smell the fragrance of Christ. In that sacred mountain top moment, the Holy Spirit spoke these words to me, “Do all that is in thine heart, for the LORD is with thee.”
As Sandy and I returned to Oklahoma to continue our work, we began to experience a new peace and many opened doors, including the ones I’ve listed above. Other miraculous doors are opening that I am not yet at liberty to discuss. All I can say is that “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it!” (I Thessalonians 5:24)
My friends, let us wade into the battle of saving our nation, for we have Christ as the Captain of our salvation!
Thanks for reading and for caring. Let us here from you today.
