Washington D.C./Ohio Valley Slide Show - Monday, May 19, 2008

Dear Friends and Supporters

Our Washington DC /Ohio Valley Tour was a tremendous success. We experienced many answered prayers and several divine appointments. Upon leaving Lynchburg, (See our Lynchburg report on our homepage) we enjoyed a beautiful drive up U.S. 29 to Washington D.C. This has to be one of the most beautiful spring drives in all America.

Upon arrival, we circled the city on the beltway in prayer for the nation as well as the Reign Down U.S.A. and National Day of Prayer events that were coming up the following week.

The next day we did an all day photo shoot, which is no easy task in a forty-foot bus, especially in D.C. traffic. Our 16 year old son, Tyler, did a great job as cameraman as I drove the bus. We retired to a Maryland KOA totally exhausted but happy. You may click on any of the photos in this newsletter to see a wonderful slide presentation that covers the entire tour. I think you'll enjoy the music too!

The following day, we drove to Hershey, Pennsylvania for a look at The National Bus Museum, (go figure) and then on to the capitol in Harrisburg for a press event the following morning. ABC and CBS affiliates covered the event as we did press interviews for a good part of the morning.

When we arrived at the capitol, several prayer groups were already on the capitol steps that had heard of Prayer Force One coming. We were pleased to have prayer for America with the wonderful people in these groups. One group was comprised of young people who were praying for the unborn. They laid hands on Prayer Force One as they prayed for God to continue blessing our efforts. We were encouraged by the dedication and sincerity of these young people.

We want to publicly thank Barry and Bonnie Blenis of New York for representing Prayer Force One at the Washington meeting of The National Prayer Committee and National Day of Prayer events on Capitol Hill. We cannot be everywhere and we are very grateful for the great service they performed in covering these important D.C. events for Prayer Force One. Barry took the photo below of Beth Moore who will serve as Honorary Chairman of the 2009 National Day of Prayer effort. She is pictured with Kathy Branzell of the National Prayer Committee who does a steller job of coordinating such events.

After a great meeting at the Riverhill Evangelical Church, with denominational prayer leader, Terry Jacobs, Prayer Force One conducted repeat capitol appearance at the capitols of Columbus, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana. The reporter for the Columbus Dispatch newspaper was particularly kind and gracious.

Our next stop was the National Day of Prayer event at the Passion Play under the Christ of the Ozarks statue. Sandy prayed and I delivered the keynote address. Thank God for the impact that the National Day of Prayer is having on our nation, and hopefully on heaven as well!

We concluded this, our third tour, by opening the Oklahoma State GOP Convention's Prayer Breakfast. I must be quick to point out that although Prayer Force One cannot and does not endorse parties or candidates, we do accept invitations from both parties to share our message of hope in God. The photo below is with former OK Governor Frank Keating and Colonel Mike Taylor, both good friends and who also spoke at the Prayer Breakfast. Colonel Taylor has just written a book on his service as Chaplain during the Katrina disaster and will be featured in our upcoming Prayer Force One Speakers Bureau.

Again, let me encourage you to click on any of the photos to see a really great little slide show of our entire D.C./Ohio Valley Tour. We thank each of you that have prayed and stood behind us in this national call to prayer. We have tried our best to represent you well. May God continue to bless each and every one of you.

Yours For God & Country,
Ed Moore, President
