Making America To Sin

     In I Kings 14:16 The Bible tells us that the LORD, "shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin." Notice that the Bible says that a ruler "made" Israel to sin. The Divine allegation that Jeroboam and other kings "made Israel to sin" is repeated in twenty-three separate verses of the Bible. From this we learn that nations can indeed be "made to sin" by their rulers. America beware!

     Americans of my generation have watched and lamented as federal judges have "made" America to sin by their presumptuous rulings against prayer, Bible reading and various public expressions of the faith of our Fathers. Conversely, and at the same time, these same federal judges have decreed the murderous abortion of millions while defending homosexual "rights" etc. Up to this point, by-in-large, it was illegitimate judicial decrees that have "made America to sin".

     Now however, we are seeing a new and godless aggression on the part of our legislative branches of government as well. Remember that it was Maine's legislature that ratified that states same-sex marriage act. To Maine's people alone belongs the credit for righting the wrong last Tuesday night by voting down this force-fed law. Likewise to the credit of Americans all over the nation, our people have, with one united and undiluted voice, renounced same-sex marriage in all thirty-one states where the measure has appeared on the ballot. (And that includes Californian's having to vote it down twice!)

     No, make no mistake, America is being made to sin from the top down. In the matter of Roe-v-Wade, abortion was institutionalized by the courts from the top down. Now, under the guise of "health care reform", a new attempt to fund abortion is being shoved down the throats of every American taxpayer. Even as I write, President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and their liberal axis of power, now in control of Congress, are poised to "make America sin" through its latest version of the health care bill.

     According to Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, the bill... "Is a 1,990 page monstrosity that will mandate health care coverage penalizing those who choose no coverage, pay for abortion, change the tax laws giving benefits for same sex partners and create more than 111 new boards, bureaucracies, commissions, and programs. This will cost at least 1.3 trillion dollars."

      Minority leader, John Boenher, recently stated that Section 213 of the bill requires that, "A monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan, as well those who select plans that have abortion coverage through the Exchange. The premium will be paid into an U.S. Treasury account and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services."

     The enemy is now so confident that even Planned Parenthood's Action Fund President, Cecile Richards, boasted to her supporters that, "Every version of the bills out there right now is free of the dangerous amendments anti-choice members of congress tried to attach to health care reform."

     Even now, while America's attention is focused on the tragedy at Ft. Hood, Nancy Pelosi is seeking to force this bill through by a vote on Saturday.

     This crisis demands divine intervention. I ask you to pray that God will not allow America to be "made to sin" by the passage of this evil bill. While we should call our senators and representatives right now, we must not forget that: "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." (II Corinthians 10:4)

     We must never forget that prayer is still our mightiest weapon against the forces of darkness! Let each one of us, right now, right where we are, get down on our knees and pray for victory in this critical hour.
