First Red Phone Prayer Alert

Dear Prayer Force One, Red Phone Prayer Partners,

     Since Prayer Force One's birth, we have had hundreds-of-thousands of hits on our site. This culminated with tens-of-thousands of praying Americans joining us for our first-ever Prayer Force One Sunday which occurred just before the last national election. (Something that we will repeat every two years, and which we expect to grow into the millions.)

     To these initial contacts, we recently sent forth an invitation for Spirit-led believers to become a part of an exclusive prayer team. The primary purpose of this prayer team is to provide concerted "prayer cover" for Prayer Force One and its leaders as we seek to expand this very unique ministry into a full fledged, spiritually based, save-America movement. In this regard I'm reminded of what Ronald Reagan said in the closing days of his presidency.

     "Once you begin a great movement, there is no telling were it will end. We meant to change a nation, instead we changed a world."

     I think the same could be said of the spiritual potential of Prayer Force One. Like Esther of old, who can know whether you and I and Prayer Force One are come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

     If you are receiving this first-ever Red Phone Prayer Alert, it is because you expressed a desire to join this team. On behalf of our entire staff, Sandy and I want to thank you for making this decision. Welcome Aboard! We are so thankful for you! 

     In the coming days, you will be receiving your membership card as well as some important information in the mail. In the mean time, I ask you to earnestly pray over the special ministry requests listed below.

     I've included the photo of our eleventh grandbaby, Isabelle, not because I'm a grateful Papa (although I am). I included it because of the testimony of answered prayer that Isabelle represents. If you have not read this testimony, especially as it relates to saving our nation, let me encourage you to read it by clicking on the photo above.

     Here are the first five prayer requests that I ask you to pray over. Instead of sending long lists of prayer requests, future alerts will try to focus on just two or three requests. As you pray over these requests, I ask you to do so with the faith of a child. Let us get on the red phone to heaven and ask God for miracles, favor, wisdom and blessings as we all seek to obey II Chronicles 7:14.

Special Red Phone Prayer Requests

     1. Pray as we fly to Washington DC. Sandy and I will be traveling with Prayer Force One's Executive Vice-President, Barry Blenis, and his wife Bonnie, of Surprise, New York. Barry is a Christian businessman, ministry counselor and co-founder of Prayer Force One. How we thank God for Barry and Bonnie, who have traveled all over America on behalf of Prayer Force One. Please pray for the four of us, (pictured below at the National Prayer Committee Meeting in Austin, Texas) as we travel to Washington DC in May for the National Day of Prayer observance on Capitol Hill. Pray also for the entire National Prayer Committee (of which we are a member) as it meets in conjunction with NDP events in Washington.

     2. Pray for PF-1's National Prayer Chaplain, Dr. Don Sheffield. After much prayer and discussion, and in anticipation of launching a nation-wide organizational thrust, The PF-1 Board has appointed Dr. Don Sheffield as its first National Prayer Chaplain. Dr. Sheffield is a seasoned minister that has obviously been called of God for this special assignment. He is not only a great pulpiteer, writer and certified counselor, but also brings great organizational skills which will be sorely needed in the days ahead. This is a bold move for a ministry as young as Prayer Force One and one which required much faith for all involved.

     A. Pray that God will allow "Chaplain Sheffy" to quickly raise the monthly support that will be needed for his work with Prayer Force One. 
     B. Pray that Don and his wife Sherry, as well as Don's mother, will be able to quickly sell their homes in Texas so that they can relocate to the Oklahoma City area.
     C. Pray that God will supply a first-class motor home for the Sheffield's to use in their traveling duties with Prayer Force One.
     D. Pray that God will open doors as Dr. Sheffield begins to share the ministry of Prayer Force One across the nation.       3. Pray that God will give wisdom as we prepare to launch a national organizational drive. This will involve the development of a Statement Of Faith & Values and writing a PF-1 Procedural Handbook. Pray that God will raise up the right people to become State Prayer Chaplains and local PF-1 Wing Leaders.

     4. Pray that we will be able to grow our  monthly base of donors so that the ongoing operational costs will be met.

     5. Most importantly, pray that God will be glorified and that souls will turn to Christ through the united efforts of Prayer Force One. Let us pray that God will send a genuine, heaven-sent revival that will return America to the faith of our fathers. We believe that nothing less will bring about the heavenly healing that our country so desperately needs.

     While a some of this information will be shared with the general public in our broader e-mails, I take great comfort in knowing that the members of our Red Phone Prayer Team will take these request before the throne of grace as part of a serious, united prayer effort.
